Right in the heart of Dortmund at the gateway to the Brückstraße district, the former Karstadt-Technik building on the corner of Brückstraße and Kampstraße has been demolished. A new building is being constructed here opposite the Reinoldi Church with a mix of student accommodation, stores, a hotel and a restaurant. This will establish living in the city and enhance the city center. A total of 449 apartments will be built.
