Campus of the University of Music and Dance

Köln
Planning and construction of a new three-storey extension to the University of Music and Dance (HFMT). The university has over 1,500 students and around 500 teachers, making it one of the largest music universities in Europe. The project is being realized in the SEP partnership model (turnkey construction with integrated planning). In the new extension building, located in the urban heart of the city of Cologne, the Kunibertsviertel, a multifunctional concert and dance hall with 334 seats will be built. In addition, library, administration, teaching and practice rooms for dance and singing, a public café and a children's daycare center will be built in the existing buildings, which have been undergoing extensive renovation since 2022. In future, the HFMT campus will obtain most of its electricity from its own photovoltaic system. The green roof of the new building also provides a habitat for plants and insects. The outdoor areas of the campus will be planted with 32 trees, among other things. This will have a positive effect on the inner-city climate.
