Hamburger Kunsthalle

Hamburg
The core of the modernization is the revival of the historic main entrance in the foundation building - the previous entrance was located to the side of the extension. This will allow the foyer and the staircase, which has been unused since 1919, to be redesigned in a bright and modern way. With the reopening, all three parts of the Kunsthalle have been brought together to form a single museum complex. The new museum café pictured here has been set up on the site of the old Café Liebermann.
