HS2, sections S1 and S2
Great Britain
HS2 is the new high-speed rail line between London, the Midlands, the North and Scotland, serving over 25 stations, including eight of the UK's ten largest cities, and connecting around 30 million people.
Construction of the new rail line is divided into three phases: Phase 1 between London and the West Midlands, Phase 2a linking the West Midlands and the North via Crewe and Phase 2b to complete the railroad to Manchester and Leeds. The contract for the southern lots S1 and S2 comprises the design and construction of the Euston Tunnels and Access and the Northolt Tunnels. In Phase 1, the joint venture had been awarded the design and site preparation (including pricing and scope) for the main construction works. The contract awarded in spring 2020 is the transition from design and preparation to detailed design and construction.
